Methanex donates over 100 food hampers to support local COVID-19 social relief

Methanex in Trinidad continued its support for local communities in May and June by distributing over one hundred (100) food hampers to local community-based organizations involved in social relief efforts linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On receiving hampers for distribution in the Couva area, President of the Couva Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce Mr. Ramchand Rajbal Maraj commended Methanex for the much-needed aid. He remarked, “Methanex positively rose to the occasion by donating thirty food hampers comprising vitals to be given to families in need. On behalf of the Couva Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce, we express sincere thanks to Methanex for the heart-warming gesture.”

In other parts of the country, hampers were distributed by Methanex’s employees. Among the recipients were the Court Shamrock Shelter for displaced persons in San Fernando; the Wesleyan Children’s Home in Chickland, Freeport; and the Love All, Serve All Organization – a soup kitchen in the city of Port-of-Spain which cooks and distributes daily hot meals to persons in need.

Methanex is proud to support ongoing relief efforts in Trinidad during the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.
